Hailing from the deserts of Arizona, Hogjaw are no strangers to European shores; last year, these four longstanding friends played 40-plus headline shows across mainland Europe, supporting the release of new album, ‘Way Down Yonder’, recently released via Snakefarm Records.
And now, in 2018, it’s time for the UK to feel the power of The ’Jaw first hand, with a debut headline run confirmed for October.
Says vocalist / guitarist JB Jones: “To all of our UK folks, Hogjaw is ready to release the rock ‘n’ roll across the island! We have been waiting for this opportunity for some time, and can’t wait to see all of our friends and fans. Ready the whiskey, ready the pints, we will see ya’ll soon!”

‘Way Down Yonder’, studio album number six, sees Hogjaw – that’s JB Jones, Jimmy Rose (lead guitar), Elvis DD (bass) & Kwall (drums) – delivering 11 tracks of “hard hitting southern fried electric guitar rock” with no punches pulled and no shot left on the bar. One of the foremost things about Southern Rock is that it’s music based on heritage and lifestyle, with real stories told and common values holding sway, and the Hogjaw ‘family’ are cast in the finest traditions of the genre, as the new recordings clearly show.
Produced by the band & Byron Filson, this is music that proudly flies the flag for pure rock from days gone by, tapping into the spirit of Capricorn Records’ legends such as The Allman Brothers, The Marshall Tucker Band and The Outlaws.
At the moment, Hogjaw are working on a video for the album’s title track – a song imbued with the kind of drive only big men with attitude (and blunt razors) can bring – and making plans for the October trip; the band’s previous UK history is confined to an appearance at Ramblin’ Man Fair in 2016, plus a warm-up event in London, but this time around they’ll be bringing their own particular brand of Southern pride to cities right across the UK.
The perfect opportunity for fans to get high on The Hog!
